Have a plan to leave - and a plan to stay

We should always plan to leave early on high risk fire days but what happens if you can't? There's many scenarios where you might end up being stuck on the property so we should always prepare our properties as though we are staying. That's removing combustible materials away from the house, keeping gutters clean, removing overhanging vegetation, keeping lawns mowed and having an emergency kit.
